Allspice Berry Essential Oil

Scientific Name: Pimenta diosca

Country of Origin: Jamaica

Distillation Method: Steam Distilled

Plant Part: Berry

Perfume Note: Middle

A spicy aroma resembling a mixture of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The essential oil is extracted from green unripe berries.


Blending Suggestions: geranium, lavender, patchouli, orange, orange blossom, ylang ylang, ginger, myrrh, and other spices.

Hazards: Potentially carcinogenic, based on methyleugenol content; may inhibit blood clotting; skin sensitization (moderate risk); mucous membrane irritation (moderate risk).

Contraindications: Should not be taken in oral doses.

Maximum dermal use level: EU 0.0015% IFRA 0.003% Tisserand & Young 0.15%
